Kayle Connor leaves for Workington Town

Kayle Connor has left South Wales Scorpions without playing a competitive game, and has joined Championship club Workington Town for an undisclosed fee.

The Australian half-back played in both of the Scorpions pre-season friendlies this year but didn’t ever take to the field in the league or cup.

Scorpions’ coach Dave Clark said: “Workington have come in for him and were able to find him full-time employment with a regular wage so we’re not standing in his way.

“We wish him all the best with all of his new opportunities in Cumbria.”
