Scorpions crush Gateshead Eliot Kear and Steve Parry helped themselves to a hat-trick each as South Wales Scorpions romped to a 70-16 victory over Gateshead in Co-operative Championship One. Lewis Reece crossed twice and added 11 goals, while there were also tries for David James, Craig Richards, Alan Pope and Chris Cunningham. Will Bate, Ade Aderiye, Michael Brown scored second-half consolation tries for the visitors.
